Fashion Writing 2.0-

In my final year of university, I was part of a magazine and mock creative agency, under the name of 'Spoiled Nation', as mentioned on some of my previous pages. Each student had to create weekly written articles, optimised for either print or digital media, covering a topic of their choice. I chose to create two print articles (and 3 online). Here I have presented a long-form travel and tourism piece I wrote covering a recent visit to New York, and a cultural and social article covering gender-neutral fashion and the misconceptions that still surround this area of the industry. To view the full articles on Issuu, please click on the button next to my work.

We also had a chance to be the digital or print editor for a week which allowed us to get to grips with the house styles, layouts, language and tone of our magazine and offer our peers critical feedback to conform to these.

| Fashion in Leeds

This was the first project I was assigned to at University, it involved scouting images and references around the city as inspiration behind its street style. I heavily focused on the nightlife and neon lights as a visual representation of the impact the club and music scene has on the fashion in Leeds, specifically focusing on students.

From the primary research that I gathered, I then created my own inspiration boards which I utilised to direct a fashion film, using adobe premiere pro, to summarise the street style and nightlife of the city.
